Designer, Artist & Author

Hello, I’m Clarice — a designer, watercolour artist, author, teacher, and creative explorer based in Ontario, Canada.

I originally went to college to become a graphic designer, but somewhere along the way, life had other plans for me. Today, I teach people how to go with the flow — both in watercolour and, perhaps, in life.

I’m passionate about helping you paint loosely, let go of perfection, and discover the beautiful, unexpected things that can happen when you stop trying to control every brushstroke.

My approach to teaching watercolour begins with understanding the medium. Once you understand how water, pigment, paper, and your brushes work together, you can begin to trust the process, experiment, embrace the happy accidents, and eventually develop a style that feels uniquely yours.

And I believe there’s something much deeper happening when we paint.

Watercolour teaches us to slow down. To be patient. To have grace for ourselves. To accept that we can’t control everything — and to find beauty in what happens when we let go.

That’s why I encourage my students to make painting part of their regular me time. Even a few quiet minutes with a brush can become a little ritual of creativity, calm, and connection.

I’m also the author of Paint 50 Watercolour Nature, a Princeton Brushes ambassador, and I teach watercolour through my YouTube channel, Skillshare, and my online membership, Go with the Flow.

And because I believe travel and creativity are both incredibly good for the soul, I love bringing women together for intimate watercolour retreats in beautiful places like Tuscany, Costa Brava, and the Algarve. There’s something magical about stepping away from everyday life, painting somewhere beautiful, sharing good food and conversation, and simply giving yourself permission to pause and fill your cup.

Whether you find me through a watercolour tutorial, a retreat, a book, or my membership, my hope is always the same:

That you’ll put down the pressure to be perfect, pick up your brush, and learn to go with the flow.

Come paint with me. 🌸

I LOVE your work and your techniques. Looking forward to your classes.
